Ooty

Udagamandalam and abbreviated as Udhagai and Ooty is a town and municipality in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 86 km north of Coimbatore and 128 km south of Mysore and is the capital of the Nilgiris district. It is a popular hill station located in the NilgiriHills, Ooty is also called the "Queen of hill stations" and is the capital of Nilgiris district.

It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. Used to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level


Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal is a city in the hills of the Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The temperatures are cool throughout the year due to the high elevation of the city.Meadows and grasslands cover the hillsides. Gigantic Eucalyptus trees and shola forests flourish in the valleys. Mighty rocks and cascading streams lie above the valleys. There are many high waterfalls and ubiquitous gardens and flower beds in bloom.

Kodaikanal is known for its rich flora. Of the big trees, cypress, eucalyptus and acacia are the dominant varieties. Pear trees are numerous and the fruits are of high quality


Darjeeling

Blue sky blazes red and orange at sunrise and sunset times. Hills all around and it turns into a fairyland at night. A nice get away from the congested cities. If only words were enough to describe the beauty of a place...believe me Darjeeling could turn anybody into a poet! it's a heaven on earth...do come over there and explore it your self.

Main places to visit such as the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute/Zoo, Cable Car, Peace Pagoda, Buddist monasteries, Tiger Hill, Rock Guarden, Nightingale Park etc. The most popular one being the Singhalia Ridge Trail.


Shillong
